ELLSWORTH — Police were called twice to the Mill Mall to deal with reports of loud and/or unruly people but issued no charges against those involved.
A fight broke out at Tag’s Sports Bar on Dec. 17, and police were called. When officers arrived, the people fighting had been separated and neither wanted to press charges.
Also on Dec. 17, officers spoke with a man at the mall “who was being loud due to video game excitement,” police reported.
Police were called to a local hotel over what appeared to be child wrapped in a blanket and left in a hotel room on Dec. 14. It was a life-like doll.
Officers responded to a local man suffering a mental health issue. He was taken to the emergency room for an evaluation on Dec. 16.
Officers stood by on Dec. 15 while a youth was taken to the emergency room by ambulance, following a report of an out-of-control 10-year-old boy.
Police responded to Hannaford for a report of a man passed out in a vehicle. The elderly man was then taken to Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital by ambulance on Dec. 16.
Police are investigating a possible protection order violation, after receiving a complaint on Dec. 15.
An on-duty officer spotted a pick-up truck drive out from behind a local, closed business on Dec. 18. The driver was an employee of the business.
Police called to a Kingsland Crossing business over “people in a van acting suspicious” found nothing suspicious nor the van, officers reported on Dec. 17.
Police are investigating a Dec. 20 theft of services complaint.
Arrests and summons
Isaiah Albert, 21, of Hancock, was summonsed on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant and failure to stop for a stop sign on Dec. 21.
Keith French, 43, of Bucksport, was summoned on a charge of operating with a suspended license and arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear in court, following a traffic stop on Dec. 17.
Joseph LaGasse, 54, town not named, was arrested on Dec. 14 on a warrant charging clamming on a Sunday.
Kayla Hudson, 18, of Ellsworth, was charged with class E theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, following a shoplifting complaint from Marden’s on Dec. 17.
Michael Klingerman, 69, of Eastbrook, was summonsed on a theft charge after investigation of a report of cigarettes stolen from Maine Smoke Shop on Dec. 15.
Dylan Norwood, 26, of Ellsworth, was arrested on a charge of class C violation of conditions of release on Dec. 14.
Harvey Springer, 26, of Franklin, was summonsed on a charge of theft of services, following a complaint from a taxi company on Dec. 19.
