Ellsworth Police Log Week of April 30

ELLSWORTH — No injuries were reported when an SUV driven by 46-year-old Sullivan resident Leonor Robidoux collided with a truck driven by 43-year-old Franklin resident Danny Carter and went off the road, over rocks and back onto the road at the intersection of Myrick and High streets on April 23.

Police wrote in a report that Carter’s truck was turning left from High Street onto Myrick Street when it was struck by the SUV driven by Robidoux, who had failed to yield to entering traffic. Damage to both vehicles was relatively minor, according to police.


Isaac Kerr, 26, of Ellsworth was arrested on a charge of domestic assault on April 27.


Meagan Hayward, 30, of Ellsworth was charged with operating under the influence following a traffic stop on April 25.

Taylor Lounder, 25, of Ellsworth was charged with operating under the influence and violating conditions of release on April 26 after police found Lounder in a vehicle “parked sideways in the middle of the road,” according to a report.

Citizen assists

Several out-of-state cars parked on the side of Route 1A on April 23 turned out to be waiting for gas, as one of the cars had run out.

A local man was brought to Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital on April 24 after he reportedly attempted suicide.

Officers warned a group of revelers to keep it down at a residence on Dollard Way on April 24.

What appeared to be a fake $10 bill given to a local cigarette shop on April 26 was “not fake, just old,” according to a police report.


Officers are looking into the reported theft of auto parts that happened “sometime since November 2019,” according to a report made on April 20.
