ELLSWORTH — On April 19, a local girl came into the Police Department “to report being sexually harassed at her workplace,” according to a report of the incident.
After investigating, police issued a summons to 36-year-old Kenyatte Redden of Lamoine for unlawful sexual touching. The case is under investigation.
Reports of trash unfounded
A resident called police to report “six or seven bags of trash” on April 19 on Route 180 near the Ellsworth city line, according to a report of the incident.
Police investigated but failed to locate any trash.
On April 22, officers responded to the area of Hancock Street around 1:30 in the morning for a report of “a group of people screaming,” according to a report of the incident.
Police failed to locate anyone screaming.
Police fail to locate confused man
Police responded to Helen’s Restaurant on April 22 to investigate a report of a man who had entered the restaurant but “didn’t know who he was or how he got there,” according to a report of the incident.
The man left before officers arrived and they were unable to find him.
Thefts and other losses
Richard Lee, 18, of Lincoln was charged with theft and illegal possession of liquor by a minor following an incident at Hannaford in Ellsworth on March 19.
Lee was also issued a trespass warning for the store, according to a police report.
William Kepner, 36, of Dedham was arrested and charged with theft after he allegedly stole $70 worth of merchandise from Hannaford in Ellsworth.
Dawn James, 44, of Fletchers Landing was arrested on a theft charge after allegedly concealing $10 worth of makeup at Hannaford on April 16.
Police received a report of a car that hit a gas pump and another parked car at Circle K on April 17 around 3 in the afternoon.
Officers arrested Jennifer Thurston, 25, of Seal Cove on a charge of operating under the influence. The crash is under investigation.
Alexander Dmitrieff, 21, of Northeast Harbor was arrested on a charge of violation of conditional release following a positive drug screening during a court-mandated check-in on April 19.
Maynard Hardison, 29, of Sullivan was arrested on a bail violation charge as the result of a drug screening on April 19, according to a report of the incident.
Jason Dube, 39, of Ellsworth was arrested on a warrant after turning himself in on April 21.
Brandyn Day, 22, of Bangor was arrested on a charge of refusing to submit to detention or arrest and summoned on charges of operating after suspension, texting while driving and failure to provide proof of insurance following a traffic stop on April 21.
Daniel Dunn, 35, of Ellsworth was arrested on April 23 on a charge of violation of conditional release.
Bradley Reed, 22, of Ellsworth was issued a summons charging him with operating after suspension following a traffic stop on April 17.
Braeden Berglund, 19, of Ellsworth was issued a summons charging him with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor following a traffic stop on High Street on April 20.
Parker Shaw, 17, of Penobscot was summoned on a charge of carrying a passenger beyond interim license restriction following a traffic stop on Main Street on April 21.
A 17-year-old boy from Penobscot was issued a summons charging him with illegal transportation of liquor by a minor following a traffic stop on Main Street on April 21.
