Eastbrook man charged with threatening woman with gun

ELLSWORTH — Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and threatened to kill her at an Eastbrook residence Saturday.

Lt. Corey Bagley said the man, who was intoxicated, left the residence and was found later by the Maine State Police.

Police arrested James Stimeling, 58, of Eastbrook on charges of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence terrorizing and aggravated reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon — all felonies.

Stimeling was still incarcerated at the Hancock County Jail Tuesday morning.
