Early-morning fight brings alcohol charges

ELLSWORTH — A reported fight in the parking lot of Jasper’s Restaurant early Saturday morning led to alcohol charges against three teenagers.

Lt. Harold Page said police received a report of three males fighting in the parking lot of the High Street restaurant. When police arrived, the subjects “took off down Foster Street.”

Police caught up with the three individuals and summoned each of them on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Charged were 18-year-old Michael Babineau of Ellsworth, 19-year-old Nathaniel Eaton of Blue Hill and a 16-year-old boy from Ellsworth.

Babineau was additionally charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana.
