Burglary under investigation

Maine State Police Log Week of March 4

ELLSWORTH The Maine State Police are investigating a burglary at a Brooklin residence that was reported Friday.

“Several items were broken,” said Trooper Travis Chapman. “Many items, including jewelry and tools, were stolen from inside the residence.”


Trooper Miles Carpenter summoned Stephen Barker, 29, of Machiasport on a charge of failure to give notice of accident by quickest means Feb. 25. Carpenter had been investigating an abandoned, damaged vehicle on Elm Street in Machias.

Heidi Bray, 46, of Sedgwick was summoned on a charge of operating after suspension after a traffic stop by Trooper Owen Reed in Brooksville Friday.
