Bucksport Police: Skiff Stolen from Town Dock

BUCKSPORT — A white 12-foot skiff equipped with a 20-horsepower Mariner outboard motor was reported stolen from the town dock Nov. 13.

The boat and motor were valued at $2,500.

Arrests and Summonses

James McCown, 27, Bucksport, warrant.

Anthony Vincent, 20, Prospect, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, assault.

Suzanne Astbury, 33, Orland, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to provide proof of insurance.

Jared McDaniel, 19, Orland, obstructing report of a crime, domestic assault.


A man reported being assaulted Nov. 9 but was unable to identify his alleged assaulter.


A brick was thrown through the front window of a Main Street store Nov. 9.

Police are investigating vandalism to a motorcycle reported Nov. 9.

The ignition wires had been cut.


Two Edison Drive residents reported fuel missing from their oil tanks last week.

Several video games, an Xbox, a flat-screen television and a laptop computer were reported missing from a School Street residence Nov. 11.

The manager of a local store declined to press charges last week after a woman returned items stolen Halloween night.

The woman was asked not to return to the store.

Funny Money

A counterfeit $1 bill was collected from a local fast food restaurant Nov. 9.

Suspicious Conditions

Police were unable to locate several youths reported to be climbing off the roof of a Main Street business Nov. 12.
