Bucksport Police log week of March 26

BUCKSPORT — First responders were called to a home after a man, 44, was found unresponsive in his bathroom the afternoon of March 19.

Deputy Police Chief David Winchester said the death is being investigated but foul play is not suspected.

“The Maine Medical Examiner is sending someone up to examine the body, which is fairly routine,” Winchester said.

Animal problem

Three goats were running loose in a roadway on Friday but were eventually corralled.


On March 16, police were called to help a property owner with people he was having trouble evicting.

Mental health issues

A suicidal woman needed to go to the hospital March 16.

Citizen assist

A resident called for help March 17 to properly dispose of old ammunition. Winchester said the ammunition is eventually shipped to the Maine Fire Marshal’s Office for disposal.
