Bucksport Police Log Week of June 6

BUCKSPORT — A concerned citizen brought an injured owl to the police station May 27.

Officer Matt Schmidt contacted a game warden, who referred Schmidt to Avian Haven, which cares for injured birds in Freedom. There is no word on how the owl is faring thus far.


Officer Chris Woodman arrested Kathleen Feely, 55, of Harpswell on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant Saturday.

Schmidt arrested Jon McDowell, 33, of Stonington on a charge of operating after suspension Friday.

Officer Franklin Burke arrested James Matlack, 46, of Bucksport on charges of criminal trespass, violating conditions of release, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, burglary and criminal mischief May 16.


Officer Eric Marcel summoned Heather Macdonald, 36, of Hampden on a charge of reading while driving May 26.

Schmidt summoned Alex Kearns, 27, of Bangor on a charge of operating after suspension May 27.

Officer Robert Findlay charged Heidi Resh, 38, of Belfast with one count of shoplifting May 28.

Schmidt summoned Michael Carter, 45, of Brewer on a charge of operating after suspension May 30.

Also May 30, Schmidt summoned Rebecca Miller, 21, of Hampden on a charge of operating after suspension.

Woodman summoned Brandon Macquarrie, 29, of Orrington on a charge of operating after suspension Friday.


A caller reported seeing a person riding on top of a boat while it was being towed down a roadway Sunday.
