Bucksport Police Log Week of July 19



BUCKSPORT — A woman reported that someone had entered her apartment and “trashed the place” on July 9.

Sgt. David Winchester said the incident had resulted from a couple’s break-up and no charges are being pursued.

Juvenile problem

A mother called for help from police officers in handling her “unruly” young children July 11. Officer Steve Bishop spoke to the children.

Arrests

Winchester arrested Adam Barnes, 31, of Detroit on a warrant. Barnes was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

Officer Chris Woodman arrested Brandy Jo Mylen, 33, of Bucksport on a charge of probation violation Friday.

Officer Matt Schmidt arrested Betty French, 38, of Bucksport Saturday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

Schmidt arrested Trevor King, 22, of Bucksport Saturday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

Summonses

Woodman summoned George Nason, 54, of Bucksport on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant Friday.

Officer Robert Findlay summoned Sallie Strong, 70, of Stonington on a charge of speeding 67 mph in a 45-mph zone July 11.

Schmidt summoned Earl Soper Jr., 56, of Orland on charges of operating after suspension and bail violation July 8.

Police summoned Linda Silsby, 57, of Bucksport on a charge of failure to maintain control of a vehicle July 9.

Theft

A River Road resident is missing a watch and a pair of handcuffs. The theft was reported July 10. Findlay is investigating.
