Bucksport Police Log Week of July 11

BUCKSPORT — A concerned citizen called police Friday about a dog that was possibly being neglected.

Animal Control Office Dan Joy said he checked the residence in question but the dog was not outside.

Distracted driving

Officer Gerald Lowe summoned Christopher J. Barry, 31, of Orrington on a charge of reading while driving Saturday.

Also Saturday, Lowe summoned Ashley Heald, 28, of Prospect on a charge of texting while driving — a third offense — police said.


Officer Robert Findlay arrested Joshua Moore, 34, of Bucksport on charges of operating after suspension and violating conditions of release July 3.

Sgt. David Winchester arrested Tara Thurlow, 39, of Bucksport on a charge of violating conditions of her release June 30.

Officer Steve Bishop arrested Crystal Dobbs, 35, of Bangor on charges of violating conditions of her release. Bishop summoned Dobbs on a charge of leaving the scene of a property damage accident.


Winchester summoned Clayton Ames, 40, of Bucksport on a charge of operating after suspension Saturday.

On July 1, Winchester summoned Shane K. Murray, 43, of Bucksport on a charge of operating without a license.

Lowe summoned Joseph Kennedy, 53, of East Orland on a charge of speeding July 2.

Lowe summoned Erich Hunter, 41, of Orrington on a charge of speeding June 30.
