Bucksport Police log week of Jan. 16

BUCKSPORT — A Bangor man was charged with impaired driving as well as criminal mischief Saturday.

Deputy Police Chief David Winchester said that during the arrest the man became “uncooperative and a piece of the [public safety] building was damaged.” The damage was minor.

Timothy Helmandollar, 32, was taken to the Hancock County Jail, where he was released on bail.

Concerned citizen

A man stopped at the station Monday to advise Officer Gerald Lowe there was “something” floating in the river. Winchester said the item might have been a stick.

Traffic violations

Officer Chris Woodman summoned Ernest Anderson, 51, of Searsmont on a charge of operating after suspension Saturday.

Lisa Bas, 48, of Bucksport was summoned on a charge of operating after suspension Jan. 6.

Lowe summoned Ariana-Lee Dunton, 19, of North Anson on a charge of speeding Saturday.
