Bucksport Police log week of Aug. 15



Animal reports include lost sheep, found rabbit

BUCKSPORT — Animal complaints and concerns were plentiful this past week.

Sgt. David Winchester took a complaint about loose sheep on Sunday.

Also Sunday, a woman notified Animal Control Officer Dan Joy that she’d captured a pet rabbit she found roaming in her yard.

A resident stopped at the Police Department Saturday to report a dog bite.

A woman reported Aug. 8 that a raccoon had been hit by a car but was still alive. There was no word on whether the animal was dispatched.

Summonses

Winchester summoned Heather Storms, 39, of Ellsworth on charges of operating after suspension and bail violation Saturday.

Speeding

Officer Robert Findlay summoned Libby Lane, 23, of Frankfort on a charge of speeding 67 mph in a 50-mph zone Aug. 8.
