Bucksport Police Log Week of Jan. 25



BUCKSPORT — Police officers arrested three people in unrelated incidents during the past week.

Detective Sgt. David Winchester arrested Marc Sparks, 32, of Bucksport Sunday on warrants charging failure to appear.

On Saturday, Officer Steve Bishop arrested Robert Vachon, 57, of Bucksport on a charge of domestic violence criminal threatening.

Bishop arrested Ashley Gilbert, 21, of Brewer on Jan. 17 on a charge of domestic violence reckless conduct. Gilbert also was charged with violating conditions of release, domestic violence criminal threatening and criminal mischief.

Summonses

Officer Chris Woodman summoned Nicholas Bean, 19, of Glenburn on a charge of illegal transportation of drugs Jan. 19.

Accident

A Blue Hill woman escaped injury when she failed to make a turn and her car crashed into rocks on Mast Hill Road Jan. 17, police reported.

Alexandra Shipley, 34, was traveling south in a 2017 Subaru, which was a total loss, Winchester said.

Theft

A man reported Jan. 17 that a piece of equipment belonging to his logging company had been stolen. Winchester said the equipment was valued at $300.

Citizen assist

A concerned citizen called police Jan. 17 to report a motorist had been operating a motor vehicle with just one working wiper blade.

Animal problem

A Bucksport woman called police Jan. 16 to report her neighbor’s dog on her property again.

Other animal problems included barking dogs bothering neighbors and a dead deer in a roadway, both called in Saturday.

A caller reported a Great Dane wandering on a roadway Sunday.
