Bucksport Police Log Week of Feb. 1

BUCKSPORT — The Bucksport Police arrested a Trenton woman on Route 1 Sunday.

Emily Damon, 20, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Damon was released on bail from the police station.

A woman called police last week because her husband, who had been arrested on a domestic violence charge, had made bail and she was afraid to go home.

“We checked on her,” said Detective Sgt. David Winchester, who added that the man’s bail conditions prohibit him from returning to the address.

“We always do follow-up interviews with victims on domestic violence cases,” Winchester said.

A resident reported $350 in cash missing on Saturday. The theft is under investigation, Winchester said.

Officer Chris Woodman summoned Justin Soper, 37, of Bucksport on a charge of operating after suspension Jan. 25.

A woman advised that a side mirror on her vehicle was broken and thinks it happened a few days ago while parked on Main Street.

Concerned citizens turned in a wallet and two license plates that were found in various locations Friday.
