BUCKSPORT — An Orland man was arrested on several charges after allegedly trying to assault a worker at a Route 1 bar just before midnight on Saturday, Dec. 5.
Robert Winters III, 57, was charged with criminal attempt (which refers to attempted assault), disorderly conduct and possession of a concealed weapon, according to Detective Sgt. David Winchester.
Officers Dan Harlan and Steven Bishop responded to the business, where staff complained that Winters had assaulted one of them, Winchester said. After an investigation, he was charged and taken to Hancock County Jail.
Traffic violations
Lloyd Deans, 75, of Orland was summoned on a charge of improper passing while driving on River Road Nov. 28.
Elizabeth Smith, 30, of Bucksport was summoned on a charge of failing to produce insurance after she was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on the Millvale Road Dec. 15.
Missing phone
A student at Bucksport High School reported his cell phone, worth $60, went missing while he was practicing with one of the school’s sports teams.
