Bucksport Police: Dog-powered Skateboard Prompts Warning

BUCKSPORT — A Bucksport teenager who was using his dog to pull his skateboard down the middle of Main Street July 28 was warned for obstructing the flow of traffic.


Police issued further warnings when the teen and another man were later reported to be skateboarding in the street.

Missing Person Search

A 5-year-old girl who was reported missing from a Pond Street residence July 28 was located at a neighbor’s home.


A driver crashed into another vehicle while attempting to make a left-hand turn on Route 1 July 31.

According to police, Matthew Carlson, 17, of East Machias struck the side of a 2004 Ford pickup driven by James Davis, 42, of Orland while turning into a parking lot.

Total estimated damage was $1,800.

A Bangor man suffered minor injuries after he reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and crashed his 1988 Cadillac into a tree on Route 46 July 31, according to police.

Carl Smith, 67, was the driver. Reported damage was $7,000.

Thomas French, 44, Trenton, operating after suspension habitual offender, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant, operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Angela Earle, 30, Bucksport, operating after suspension.

Philip Sloan, 25, Holden, operating after suspension.


Two Silver Lake Road residents reported their vehicles were damaged by a BB or pellet gun July 30.

Police are investigating.


A woman reported her purse stolen while she was at the salon Aug. 1.

Police received information about a car that was reportedly stolen in April or May.

A Harriman Cove Road resident reported the theft of prescription medication July 27.

Suspicious Person

Police were unable to locate a man who was reportedly sleeping under a picnic table at Hannaford July 31.
