Man Tased, arrested on warrants
BUCKSPORT — Officers used a Taser on a man who had multiple outstanding warrants and became combative during an incident in the woods off Main Street March 29, according to Deputy Police Chief David WInchester.
Officers attempted to stop the man, but he fled on foot behind a Main Street residence.
“When he ran from the police, Officer Gerald Lowe and Officer Chris McCrillis were able to chase him and catch him,” Winchester said. “He failed to comply with the officers’ orders and was Tased.”
Jesse Davis, 29, of Boothbay Harbor was arrested on the warrants. Davis also was charged with two counts of unlawful drug possession. Davis had suboxone and Xanax in his possession, Winchester said.
Citizen assist
A grandparent called for help because a grandchild refused to log in to a computer and do remote learning for school on March 29, police reported. McCrillis was sent out to talk to the child, who is a young teenager, about the importance of getting schoolwork done.
“He was able to work with the child to move things along,” Winchester said.
Arrests
A Bucksport couple wanted on warrants were arrested Sunday, police said.
Officer Ryan Welch also charged Sylvester Roberson, 39, and Brenda Roberson, 30, with one count each of violating conditions of release. Both were taken to the Hancock County Jail.
Officer Robert Findlay arrested Brenda Connor, 63, of Bucksport on a warrant March 31.
Summonses
Officer Eric Marcel summoned Jessica Dana, 39, of Bangor on a charge of operating after suspension April 1.
On March 28, Marcel summoned Noah Scanlon, 20, of Bucksport on a charge of operating after suspension.
Travis Longtin, 26, of Orrington was summoned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while using a cellular device March 28.
Lowe summoned Robert Smith, 44, of Bucksport on a charge of operating after suspension.
