Bucksport man arrested after high-speed chase

ORLAND — A Bucksport man who led police on a high-speed chase Saturday in Orland is facing numerous charges including driving while under the influence.

Trooper Greg Roy was patrolling Route 1 when he attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding. The driver took off at a high rate of speed, leading the trooper in a chase where speeds exceeded 100 miles per hour. The driver, Everett Dorr, 37, was taken into custody after he pulled into a driveway.

Dorr was arrested on charges of eluding an officer, criminal speeding and operating while under the influence (OUI). He was taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth, where he later was released on bail.
