ELLSWORTH — Break-ins were reported at three summer homes on Green Lake Thursday.
The first break-in was reported on Periwinkle Way. Police said it appears two TVs and a small stereo, collectively valued at $700, were taken from the camp. The burglary is believed to have occurred within the last month.
That same day, a resident found two homes on nearby Brown Way had been broken into. Detective Dotty Small went to the scene, and found a 26-inch flat-screen TV and a gas can were missing.
Those break-ins had occurred within the past week, Small said, because the out-of-state owners had recently been in the area. After learning of the burglaries, they were planning on coming back to see if anything else had been stolen. Small said the case remains under investigation.
Periwinkle Way and Brown Way are both located on the southern shore of Green Lake, off of Route 180.
