Police search local ponds for signs of missing Blue Hill woman

BLUE HILL — State Police and the Maine Warden Service continue to search for a missing Blue Hill woman who was last seen July 23.

Jessica Grindle, 37, was reported missing by a friend last week. State Police appealed to the public for help locating her.

Since then, investigators have received some tips. Several searches also have taken place on and near two ponds, First Pond (also known as Billings Pond) in Blue Hill and Frost Pond in Sedgwick.

Grindle is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who has seen Grindle in the past month is asked to call State Police in Bangor at 973-3700.
