Blue Hill woman indicted for allegedly assaulting child



ELLSWORTH — A Hancock County grand jury Dec. 7 indicted a Blue Hill woman on charges that she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend’s child, according to Hancock County District Attorney Matt Foster.

Breanna Hewes, 27, was indicted on one count of assault on a child under 6 and one count of assault.

“The child suffered bruising and scratches consistent with child abuse,” Foster said. “The examiner noted that the scratches were consistent with fingernail scratches typical of abuse by a female abuser.”

The incident in question occurred between Feb. 19 and 21 of 2016, according to court records.

The grand jury also indicted a Penobscot woman accused of burglarizing multiple properties in Orland, Lamoine and Bar Harbor last summer.

Tina Sieber, 36, of Penobscot was indicted on the following: two counts each burglary and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and one count stealing drugs Aug. 20 in Bar Harbor; two counts theft and one count each burglary and criminal mischief Aug. 22 in Lamoine; burglary, theft, refusing to submit to arrest and attempted escape Aug. 23 in Orland; unlawful trafficking of drugs and criminal forfeiture Aug. 23 in Orland; burglary, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal mischief Aug. 22 in Lamoine; burglary and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Aug. 23 in Lamoine.

The grand jury also indicted the following 20 others:

  • Ross Anderson, 52, Franklin, unlawful drug trafficking and unlawful drug possession Jan. 5 in Verona Island.
  • Jamie Brown, 38, Hancock, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating conditions of release June 24 in Ellsworth; two counts theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Aug. 22 in Franklin.
  • Marc Calcia, 51, Sorrento, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, reckless conduct and criminal mischief Nov. 4 in Sorrento.
  • Scott Cote, 30, Southwest Harbor, two counts each unlawful drug trafficking and unlawful drug possession and one count each aggravated drug trafficking and falsifying physical evidence June 15 and July 14 in Southwest Harbor.
  • Timothy Cousins, 21, of Sedgwick, aggravated criminal mischief June 4 in Sedgwick.
  • Lacretia Dieter, 21, Ellsworth, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Sept. 17 in Little Deer Isle.
  • Ronald Garner, 45, Bucksport, one count unlawful drug trafficking, two counts stealing drugs and three counts unlawful possession of drugs Aug. 28 in Ellsworth.
  • Randy Grindle, 30, Bucksport, two counts of stalking and one count violating conditions of release Dec. 24, 2016, in Bucksport and Ellsworth.
  • Jesse Grinnell, 28, Steuben, eluding an officer, failure to stop, driving to endanger, operating after suspension, operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and violating conditions of release June 25 in Franklin.
  • Cassie Hutson, 31, Bucksport, unlawful drug possession April 16 in Bucksport.
  • Leonard May, 35, Swan’s Island, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Feb. 1 and March 10 on Swan’s Island.
  • Torrie McIntosh-Figueroa, 26, Brooklyn, N.Y., one count each aggravated drug trafficking, drug trafficking, falsifying physical evidence, criminal forfeiture and two counts drug possession July 14 in Southwest Harbor.
  • Michael Ream, 42, Bucksport, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence assault Oct. 9 in Bucksport.
  • Ruben Redman, 42, Monticello, burglary and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Aug. 28 and 30 in Amherst; burglary and criminal trespass Sept. 3 in Amherst.
  • Timothy Roberts, 32, Franklin, negotiating a worthless instrument Aug. 3 in Ellsworth; two counts each negotiating a worthless instrument and violating conditions of release Dec. 26-27 in Gouldsboro.
  • Nathaniel Sargent, 29, Tremont, two counts theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Sept. 17 in Little Deer Isle.
  • Chester Scott, 28, Littleton, burglary and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Aug. 28-31 in Amherst; burglary and criminal trespass Sept. 3 in Amherst.
  • Corey Veino, 40, Greenbush, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and theft by deception May 31 and July 31 in Hancock.
  • Joseph Wadman, 57, Ellsworth, aggravated drug trafficking July 11 in Hancock.
  • Shannon Wass, 43, Southwest Harbor, one count aggravated drug trafficking and one count unlawful drug trafficking July 14 in Southwest Harbor.
