Addison man charged with falsely reporting theft August 29, 2018 on Cops & Courts, News ELLSWORTH — An Addison man was arrested Monday after police say he falsely reported the theft of two outboard motors valued at over $60,000. Hancock County Sheriff’s detectives Steve McFarland and Frank Jennings arrested Dean Langton, 50, at his residence on charges of Class C attempted theft by deception and Class E filing a false report. The Sheriff’s Office had received a report Aug. 20 that two 300-horsepower outboard motors had been stolen from the back of a boat parked in Hancock. Langton is the owner of the boat and motors, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
