Card Brook Clean-up scheduled April 24

ELLSWORTH — On Saturday, April 24, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, the city of Ellsworth will be hosting the annual Card Brook Clean-up. The event will begin in the parking lot on the right-hand side of the Hannaford supermarket in Ellsworth. Participants will meet at 9:30 in order to register, enter the raffle drawing and receive further instruction.

Volunteers should come prepared by wearing sturdy footwear that can get wet and muddy. Trash bags, facemasks, gloves, hand sanitizer, snacks and bottled water will be provided. A raffle will be held at the end of the event for a chance for volunteers to win gift cards to local businesses.

In the event of inclement weather, the clean-up will be held the following Saturday, May 1. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
