ELLSWORTH — Several candidates nights are scheduled in Hancock County throughout the month of October.
The candidates for district attorney for Hancock and Washington counties will meet on Monday, Oct. 6, in Bar Harbor at the YWCA MDI.
The event will run from 7 to 8 p.m.
Bill Entwisle is the Democratic nominee while Matt Foster is the Republican candidate.
On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Democrat Brian Hubbell and Republican Joe Marshall, the candidates for the state House seat in District 135, will participate in a forum.
That event also will be held at the YWCA MDI from 7 to 8 p.m.
The district attorney House District 133 candidates will meet the public in a question-and-answer forum at the Blue Hill Public Library on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Entwisle and Foster, the district attorney candidates, will present beginning at 6:30 followed by the District 133 House candidates, Democrat Ralph Chapman and Republican Susan Walsh, at 7:30.
An additional candidates forum is scheduled to be held in the Ellsworth City Hall Auditorium on Monday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m.
The district attorney candidates and the candidates from House Districts 132 (Democrat Beth Allen and Republican Richard Malaby), House District 136 (Republican Fred Ehrlenbach and Democrat Louis Luchini) and Senate District 7 (Democrat Ted Koffman and Republican Brian Langley) are scheduled to attend.
Citizens are urged to attend and learn how the candidates will deal with the important issues facing Hancock County and the state of Maine.
There will be an opportunity for the audience to submit their own questions to be presented by the moderator.
