Camden National Branch Helps Save Lives Through Blood Drive

BLUE HILL — Camden National Bank volunteers helped the American Red Cross save 57 lives last month, according to a letter from American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division.

The letter thanked Camden National’s Blue Hill branch for organizing a recent blood drive, during which 25 donors were processed, resulting in 19 units of blood. According to the Red Cross, each unit of blood can help save up to three lives.

Candace Gray, manager of Camden National’s Blue Hill branch, is pleased that the bank was able to be a part of this important event.

The branch is sponsoring another blood drive at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds during the St. Francis Fair on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All donors who participate in Saturday’s blood drive will receive a ticket to the upcoming Blue Hill Fair.

Gray said she and her team are motivated to make this blood drive an even bigger success than their last one.

“We are striving to save 100 lives this time!” she said.
