BAR HARBOR — Some renovations are under way at hotelier David Witham’s Villager Motel on Main Street.
Workers are installing a new front desk office on the street side of the building, along with a peaked roof façade. At the same time, the small building on the property where the office has been located is being turned into a continental breakfast room. Building permits filed with the town place the cost of the project at $75,000. “This will improve the guest experience, and we are happy to be able to do so,” company representative Joy O’Shaughnessy said.
