BAR HARBOR — An application by Island Auto Repair to build a 40-by-80-foot garage on a building lot on the corner of Indian Point Road and Route 102 was found complete by the planning board Dec. 5. Board members found, however, that the project will need design review board approval before they can issue their final approval.
A public hearing on the project is slated for January 2013.
Also on Dec. 5, planning board members found complete an application by the Jesup Memorial Library to change the use of the former Eyes optometry shop on Mount Desert Street to a used book store. Retail use is allowed on the street by conditional use permit. The public hearing is planned for January 2013.
