New vet practice opens in Gouldsboro

GOULDSBORO — Veterinarian Dr. Lydia Pryor has opened a practice in West Gouldsboro.

BayView Animal Hospital occupies the entire first floor of Pryor’s house on Route 186.

“There is something different every day,” she said. “I can’t think of a better job.”

Pryor worked at Schoodic Animal Hospital in Sullivan for four years and then leased Dr. David Cobb’s practice in Machias for two years.

Pryor opened her own practice in Gouldsboro in October 2012.

BayView Animal Hospital does provide boarding, but only for cats.

The clinic is open Monday and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Wednesday 8 a.m. to noon and every other Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.
