GOULDSBORO — Anderson Marine & Hardware regulars are happy to know the store will live on and with a decidedly unexpected face behind the counter.
New owner Melinda Boumans is a former executive with Estée Lauder Cos. who is planning a life in Downeast Maine that is a 360-degree turn from the corporate scene.
Her husband, Mark Johnston, is still working with Estée Lauder in Hong Kong, but plans to join Boumans in their new business venture in a few years.
The two also purchased Gouldsboro Enterprises, which has been a broker for lobstermen and bloodworm diggers for 40 years.
