ELLSWORTH — A Blue Hill man has opened a business on Main Street offering a myriad of computer services, including repair, consulting and training.
Chris Crockett opened Rockett Computer in November in the second story of 73 Main St. across from Camden National Bank.
Crockett brings a wealth of experience to his business as a “technology solutions provider.”
“I spent 17 years at The Ellsworth American as IT manager and webmaster,” Crockett said. “I managed about 60 computers, a handful of servers and everything that goes along with that.”
Crockett sees a need for computer services and consulting in Hancock County.
As president of the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, Crockett has heard from a lot of business owners about their needs.
“A lot of times I was told the wait was two or three weeks,” to have something repaired, Crockett said. “I try to keep a large stock of parts here so I don’t have to wait for things to be shipped. My goal is to have same-day or next-day service because no one wants to be without their computer.”
Crockett also offers “malware” or virus removal service as well as file recovery.
