Executive assistant announced for Maine Community Foundation

The Maine Community Foundation announces the appointment of Amy Morley of Lamoine as executive assistant.

Originally from Elgin, Ill., Morley grew up in Maine and graduated from Mount Desert Island High School. She earned a BA from Hampshire College in 1995, where she studied art and photography. She worked in Atlanta for the Cartoon Network, the State Bar of Georgia and Windham Brannon, PC, CPAs. Morley most recently was director of operations for the Institute for Humane Education in Surry.

Morley has served as a commissioner on the Lamoine Conservation Commission and has been active in environmental issues in Hancock County. She has a special passion for community theater and has been a writer and performer at the Stonington Opera House and Aunt Mae’s Cabaret in Blue Hill.

“Amy is a great addition to the Maine Community Foundation team,” said Meredith Jones, president and CEO. “Her background in operations management will be invaluable.”
