BUCKSPORT — Leslie Wombacher, executive director of the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, will step down Dec. 20.
While she “will be moving on to spend more time with her family, she will still be active in our Chamber,” according to a statement the Chamber released Oct. 30.
“I am proud that I have made amazing memories for my daughter, and this community, but now I want to be a part of those memories and enjoy them,” Wombacher said.
Wombacher, who has served as executive director since 2012, has developed several programs to connect business to community in the Bucksport Bay area, including the Ghostport event.
“Leslie has played a critical role in the development and success of this organization, and while we will miss her and her inspiring leadership as executive director, we wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors,” the Chamber statement reads.
