Heart of Ellsworth has received a $5,000 grant from the Hancock County Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to bring more visibility and understanding of the revitalization effort in downtown Ellsworth.
“This grant will assist the Heart of Ellsworth to be more visible in the community through the implementation of a marketing plan that includes both print and web media,” said Cara Romano, the organization’s executive director.
In spring of 2016, the Downtown Ellsworth Association, a volunteer association of Ellsworth businesses, reorganized as Heart of Ellsworth to revitalize Ellsworth’s downtown by bringing together community partners to host arts and cultural events, support local businesses and promote civic engagement.
