Bar Harbor Bankshares announces promotions

Bar Harbor Bankshares has announced the promotion of four employees to the title of senior vice president: Kimberly Nason, Lara Horner, Lorraine Ivers and John Williams.

Nason, senior vice president and retail lending support manager, started at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2014 as assistant vice president for staff development and training.

She has 25 years of retail lending experience and holds an MBA from the University of Maine-Orono. With her promotion, Nason’s office location will transfer from Maine to Newport, N.H.

Horner, senior vice president and director of trust operations, started at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 1998.

In 2001, she was promoted to trust operations officer of Bar Harbor Trust Services and continues to lead the operations team in Ellsworth.

With this promotion, Horner will oversee and manage the combined operations for Bar Harbor Trust Services and Charter Trust Co. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

Ivers, senior vice president and chief compliance officer, joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2016 as vice president, senior risk and compliance analyst.

With 30 years of banking experience, Ivers has spent about half of that time in the risk and compliance area. She holds an associate degree in business administration from the University of Maine at Augusta and her office is located in Hampden.

Williams, senior vice president, enterprise risk management and project management, joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2014 as senior risk management analyst.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and his office is located in Hampden.
