BUCKSPORT — Car thieves stole a 2017 Nissan Rogue from a Buck Street resident during the overnight hours of Sept. 6. They crashed the vehicle, causing significant damage, and then returned it to the residence for the owner to find when he got up the next morning to go to work, Deputy Police Chief David Winchester reported.
“We have identified several suspects in this case,” Winchester said. “Charges are pending.”
A woman reported Sept. 7 that her car had been broken into and items taken. Officer Gerald Lowe is investigating.
A Bucksport woman was arrested Monday night on numerous charges, including assault on an officer, Winchester said. “The officers involved were not seriously injured and did not require medical attention.”
The initial call was a domestic incident. After investigating, Officers Eric Marcel and Kayla Brooks arrested Jennifer Sweeney, 36, on the additional charges of domestic violence assault, possession of scheduled drugs [Suboxone] and refusing to submit to arrest.
Officer Tyler Adams arrested Carleton Cheney, 43, of Bangor on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant Sept. 5.
Barry Farris, 32, of Bucksport was arrested by Officer Eric Marcel on warrants Sept. 5.
On Saturday, Officer Ryan Welch summoned Caden Turcotte, 19, of Raymond on charges of operating without a license in alleged violation of Maine’s Zero Tolerance law and illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor.
Lowe charged a 17-year-old boy with assault and criminal restraint Sept. 6. The victim was a “juvenile female,” Winchester said.
Lowe summoned David Graham, 30, of Bangor on a charge of operating after suspension Sept. 7.
Sgt. Darrin Moody summoned Edward Peaslee, 43, of Swanville on a charge of operating after suspension Sept. 8.
Emma Ardell, 18, of Houlton was summoned on a charge of speeding Sept. 9.
Nicholas Geroux, 23, of Bucksport was charged with speeding Friday.
