Bucksport Police Log Week of July 15



BUCKSPORT — Deputy Police Chief David Winchester arrested a Harrison man Monday who was suspected of stealing an item from Tozier’s Market.

The store was able to provide an image of the man.

“While I was on the waterfront he walked right by me,” Winchester said.

After investigating, the deputy chief learned the man had two outstanding warrants.

Jacob Lizotte, 30, of Harrison was arrested on the two warrants and warned not to return to the store. Harrison is located in the foothills of western Maine in Cumberland County.

Theft

A Millvale Road resident has had his daily newspaper stolen on a consistent basis, Winchester said. The department checked with the business and the paper is getting delivered. The resident reported the theft again on July 6.

Summonses

Officer Tyler Adams summoned Conlen Merryman, 38, of Pennsylvania on a charge of cell phone use while driving July 6.

Hunter Peterson, 25, of Penobscot was summoned on a charge of operating after suspension Saturday.

Agency assist

Officer Robert Findlay helped the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office with directions to Robin Hood Circle on July 8. It is located in the Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park.
