Bucksport Police Log: Unregistered cars garner summonses for two men



BUCKSPORT — Glen Smith, 36, of Searsport was summoned on charges of failing to produce proof of insurance and failing to register his vehicle after striking a utility pole while driving along River Road Dec. 31, police said. Damage from the one-car accident totaled $2,500. No injuries were reported.

Timothy Jerome, 57, of Bucksport was summoned on a charge of having an unregistered vehicle for more than 30 days after a passer-by reported he was pushing his broken down vehicle along Silver Lake Road Dec. 30, according to police.

Illegal burning

Amanda Albert, 26, of Bucksport was summoned on a charge of burning prohibited materials after Detective Sgt. David Winchester observed her allegedly burning furniture at her home on River Road Dec. 16, Police Chief Sean Geagan said.
