HANCOCK COUNTY JAIL
GOULDSBORO — Agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Monday arrested a Gouldsboro pair and seized $4,538 in cash and heroin valued at $13,500, according to Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland.
McCausland said agents searched a residence at 494 Main St. around 7 p.m.
Police arrested Chad Thibault, 46, of Gouldsboro on a charge of unlawful drug trafficking (heroin).
Also arrested was Roxie Albee, 40, of Gouldsboro on a charge of unlawful drug trafficking (heroin).
Thibault and Albee were present at the residence and were arrested without incident, McCausland said.
“Both were transported to the Hancock County Jail, where bail was set for Thibault at $2,500 cash and $1,500 for Albee,” McCausland said. “The Department of Health and Human Services has been notified as an 11 year-old child was present at the residence during the investigation and the search.”
“As part of ongoing drug enforcement efforts throughout Hancock County, MDEA agents with the Downeast Drug Task Force based in Ellsworth conducted an investigation into the distribution of heroin in the Schoodic Peninsula region including the towns of Gouldsboro and Winter Harbor by Thibault and Albee,” McCausland said. “The investigation included undercover purchases of heroin from the two.”
