ACADIA NATIONAL PARK — The body of a 23-year-old Bar Harbor man was found in a brook beneath a bridge here on Sunday afternoon.
Rangers say they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Christian Emigh-Doyle who they believe fell 90 feet off the Paradise Hill Road bridge over Duck Brook. A visitor exploring the brook called 911 shortly before 5 p.m.
No one witnessed the fall and no notes were left behind, rangers said. They believe Emigh-Doyle fell sometime during the day Sunday. His car was parked nearby.
Rangers said nothing pointed to foul play being a factor.
Bar Harbor Police and members of Mount Desert Island Search and Rescue assisted with the investigation and recovery of the body.
