Blue Hill Town Meeting postponed

BLUE HILL — The Board of Selectmen has voted to postpone the annual Town Meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Town Meeting will still open for voting on Friday, April 3, starting at 9:30 a.m. to elect a moderator and open the polls, said Selectman Vaughn Leach. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

At the close of polls, the board will move to adjourn the Town Meeting until Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. at the Blue Hill Consolidated School.

“We usually have 200 or more,” at the warrant portion of the Town Meeting, Leach said. Governor Janet Mills has recommended no meetings for groups of 10 or more people be held for now.

In related business, those wishing to attend the selectmen’s meetings may do so virtually using a service called gotomeeting. You can also dial in using your phone to listen to the meeting. Instructions are available on the town website:
