BLUE HILL — The Blue Hill Public Library opened for curbside services and delivery for home-bound patrons on June 1, and it’s been going well.
Much consideration is going into achieving the right balance between resuming library services and everyone’s safety. In the meantime, patrons can place holds on items for curbside pickup in the online catalog at www.bhpl.net or by calling 374-5515, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact-free home delivery and pickup services are available for those who are unable to get to the library.
Library staff are happy to help people figure out what to read next since they can’t come in and browse the shelves themselves, and the library has new features in its catalog to help in that regard as well. Returned library materials are quarantined to reduce the risk of virus transmission, and disinfected when reshelved.
