Work it out

Double Layer Bra Top

If you’ve made it to mid-January still holding firm to your New Year’s fitness resolutions, you deserve new workout wear.

T.J. Maxx has dedicated a sizeable chunk of its retail space to exercise pants and tops.

There were lots of brightly hued pants, including a printed pair described as “feather mixed vivid” in sizes extra small through large. Those are $16.99 and made by 90 Degrees By Reflection.

Another style of 90 Degree pants are reversible with a print called “astral pink/blue fusion” also $16.99.

We also liked a pair of New Balance leggings called “camo squeeze,” in a bright pink, blue and orange print for $16.99.

If those sound too bright, T.J. also has Umbro workout pants in black with violet side panels for $16.99. There also are solid black straight-leg yoga pants by Reebok for $19.99.

Capri pants include a black-and-white graphic print by Kyodo for $19.99 and Reebok capris in a blue and green print for $16.99.

T.J. has numerous tank tops in black, pink and blue as well as short-sleeve tops starting around $12.99.

Go soon if you need workout wear. There are plenty of small and extra small sizes, but medium through extra large choices were sparse the day we went.

Sale alert: SaraSara’s on Main Street in Blue Hill is holding its annual 50 percent off clothing sale through January. The sale applies to all clothing except the Rambler’s Way line. The boutique has lots of jeans and pants in stock.
