Charles and Sandra Wilcomb of Bar Harbor are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Samantha F. Wilcomb, to Matthew J. Marrier, son of Carlene and Douglas Dixon of Ocala, Fla.


The couple planned a weekend for family and friends at the Edson Hill Manor in Stowe, Vt., where they were married Sept. 19 in an outside ceremony officiated by Jeremy Venditto.

The bride’s maid of honor was best friend Rachel Hicks of Bar Harbor and Holden, and bridesmaids were sisters of the bride Evie Eich of Somerville, Mass., and Leandra Eich of Jamaica Plain, Mass.

Jared Fuller was the best man, and groomsmen were Jonathan Griffin and Sean Hourigan, all from the Burlington, Vt., area and longtime friends of the groom. The groom’s sister, Angela Dixon of Ocala, Fla., did a ceremony reading.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Mount Desert Island High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Vermont.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Burlington High School. Both the bride and groom work at The Trattoria Delia Restaurant in Burlington, Vt.

The couple spent a long weekend at Niagara Falls, N.Y., and have a Caribbean honeymoon planned for this winter. They currently reside in the town of Grand Isle, Vt., on the Champlain Islands.
