The wedding of Tara Marie Kierstead and Mark David Glasberg took place at Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth on July 31 in front of many family and friends.
The wedding party included maid of honor and Delta Zeta sorority sister Katelyn Thurston and best man and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity brother Jason Strout. Bridesmaids were cousin of the bride Amanda Sawyer, friend of the bride Kathleen Esposito and sorority sister Jessica Nixon. Groomsmen were brother of the groom Dennis Glasberg and fraternity brothers Mark Schaub and Matthew Nixon. The ring bearer and flower girl were cousins of the bride Chase and Stacia Johnson.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa Farris of Hancock and Keith Kierstead of Bass Harbor, and the groom is the son of Beth and Aaron Glasberg of North Kingstown, R.I. She is a 2004 graduate of Shead High School and a 2008 graduate from the University of Maine. She is a full-time graduate student in the school counseling program at the University of Southern Maine. He is a 2000 graduate of North Kingstown High School in North Kingstown, R.I., and a 2006 graduate from the University of Maine. He is currently a central station officer at L.L. Bean in Freeport.
The couple reside in Portland.
