Diana Cate and Kay Wilkins were married Saturday, July 6, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth. The Rev. Sara Huisjen, minister of UUCE, and the Rev. Mark Worth, retired minister, officiated.

Diana, a native of Arkansas, retired from Mercer Management Consulting in Boston, Mass..

Kay, a Maine native, retired from IBM in Cambridge, Mass.

Diana and Kay have been a couple for many years, celebrating a Service of Union at Arlington Street UU Church in Boston in May 1990. They expected this might be as close to a wedding ceremony as they would ever achieve. They were delighted when Maine legalized marriage equality and began planning their wedding immediately. The service and reception were attended by close to 200 relatives, friends and neighbors. Kay and Diana reside on Branch Lake, Ellsworth.
