BAR HARBOR — Amanda Noel Cass and Brian Christopher Skelly were married Feb. 2, 2013 in a destination wedding at the Crested Butte Retreat in Crested Butte, Colo.
Cass is the daughter of Donald Cass and Suzanne Taylor of Bar Harbor. Skelly is the son of Michael and Kathleen Skelly of Fayetteville, N.Y. Music for the wedding was composed and performed by the bride’s brother Kim Cass. He is originally from Bar Harbor, attained his B.A. at the New England Conservatory and currently resides in San Francisco, Calif. Jessica Creighton of Prospect, Maine served as maid of honor, and Andrew Skelly of Mystic, Conn. was the best man.
The ceremony was performed by the parents of the bride and groom. The couple met at Cornell University, where the bride is a PhD candidate in Evolutionary Biology. Amanda studies fish development, genetics and evolution and will complete her degree this summer. The groom has a B.S. in Neurobiology and Communications from Cornell, and is currently the sales manager for Performance Systems Development, where he sells energy efficiency optimization software locally and nationally.
The couple currently resides in Ithaca, N.Y.
