Divining over dinner
Enjoy a psychic reading over spaghetti and meatballs and other fare from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Brooksville Community Center. Brewer-based mediums Angie Butler Welch and Kelly Dawn Purington will give readings as part of the event. The menu also will include a green salad and dessert. The cost is $40 per person. Marketing after dark
Fresh bread, mushrooms, oysters, quail, poultry, organic produce and other locally-sourced food are available from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, through November, at the Deer Isle Night Market. The market is located at 11 Main St. in Deer Isle village.
Tasty and filling
The Clifton United Baptist Church will serve up a roast pork buffet dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. The event will also include a campfire and live music by Clay Braley and Dave Morrison. The church is located at 742 Airline Road.
David Porter, a graduate of Yale and former plant biology professor at the University of Georgia, will lead a mushroom walk from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Blue Hill Heritage Trust’s Greenbie Trail off Route 166 in Castine.
