Nibbles: Four upcoming events for foodies

Roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, squash, turnip, boiled onions, peas, cranberry sauce, rolls and a wide selection of pies for dessert make up the menu at the First Baptist Church of Blue Hill’s Harvest Home Supper. Seatings are at 5 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 53 Pleasant St. All proceeds will help fund the church’s assistance program for needy families in the community.

Exploring India’s cuisines

Learn how to prepare butter chicken, cauliflower, chickpea, and spinach masala; whole wheat naan bread with onion chutney and raita, pistachio kulfi (ice cream) and nankhatai (cookies) as part of Ellsworth chef JoAnne Wood’s “Easy India” cooking class from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at Hancock County Technical Center in Ellsworth. Pop over for pork loin

Starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, volunteers will serve up roast loin of pork, gravy, pork stuffing, roasted red-skinned potatoes, vegetables, homemade applesauce, dinner rolls, cider, coffee, tea and a selection of homemade pies at the Henry D.
