Francophiles will be hard-pressed to resist the “French Farmhouse Feast” being served up starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, at Cleonice Mediterranean Bistro in Ellsworth.
Bourgeois Family Selections, a North Carolina-based importer specializing in small French wine estates, is supplying the wine for the lavish meal that will begin with Country-Style, Vegetable Terrine and Poultry Gallantine pates paired with In Fine Rose. Domaine des Florets Gigondas 2006, a fine red Rhone wine will follow and complement Freshwater fish with a Crawfish Sauce, Wild Morel Mushroom Soup and Classic Coq au Vin. Mixed Cheeses and a fruit tart, paired with Ey Banyuls “Vigne d’en Traginer,” will top the meal. The wine dinner costs $65 per person. For more information, call 664-7554 and visit www.cleonice.com.
